Hilton Phone Hack Opens Up Celebrity Details to Public

Socialite Paris Hilton has been left devastated after a computer hacker broke into her mobile phone and published her personal photographs and celebrity-laden address book on the internet. The sensitive information quickly flooded the web - and Hilton's celebrity pals have been inundated with unwanted calls from fans hoping to speak to their idol. One celebrity has recorded an answer phone message stating the caller is in breech of a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) code, according to Fox News correspondent Roger Friedman. The stars who have had their privacy compromised include hip-hop superstars Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams; pop stars Christina Aguilera and Avril Lavigne; tennis stars Andy Roddick and Mark Philippoussis, and Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody.
David Bowie Cancels Appearance at Roskilde

British rocker David Bowie's battles with shoulder pains have forced him to cancel his planned performance at Denmark's annual Roskilde Festival. Last week, Bowie cut short a concert in Prague, Czech Republic, because of pain in his shoulder. Earlier this month in Oslo, Norway, he was struck in the eye by a lollipop thrown from the crowd, but wasn't hurt. Organizers of the festival say in a statement, "This morning David Bowie's physician informed us that (his) condition doesn't enable him to carry through the planned concert." A statement on Bowie's website says the cancellation is "due to David's continued condition". Bowie was scheduled to perform on Friday, the first day of four-day outdoor event. An estimated 40,000 fans will see more than 150 artists on Roskilde's six stages, including the Pixies, Morrissey, Sahara Hotnights and Avril Lavigne.
Rude Avril Lavigne Infuriates MTV Bosses

Teen wildchild Avril Lavigne is at the center of a row with bosses at MTV - after she stuck her middle finger up live on air. The Complicated singer, 19, was appearing on Total Request Live when interviewer Damien Fahey asked her what she thought of the media - prompting Avril LavigneLavigne to make the rude gesture. Producers, cautious after Janet Jackson's nipple-baring incident at this year's Super Bowl half-time show, immediately pulled the plug on Avril's performance. Later a MTV spokesperson slammed the Canadian pop star, saying, "It's totally inappropriate to make that gesture on the air. It's a little disrespectful to the audience." Lavigne's spokeswoman retorts, "It wasn't a gesture of defiance. She was laughing."
Lavigne Tears Into Duff Again

Canadian pop rebel Avril Lavigne has launched another scathing attack on teen rival Hilary Duff - just weeks after describing the adolescent actress as a "mommy's girl". The hitmaker, 19, criticized the 16-year-old Lizzie McGuire star after Duff said Lavigne needs to be more appreciative of her fans. When questioned about her feud with Duff, Lavigne slammed the blonde beauty for a second time on a Boston radio station last week. Lavigne scathed, "I'm like, 'Who are you to talk about me? You should know better.' Don't talk trash with me. You can go screw yourself." After fuming about Duff, Lavigne ripped a photo of herself down off the station wall, screaming, "I hate that f***ing photo."

Pop sensation Hilary Duff has slammed fellow teen singer Avril Lavigne for criticizing her own fans. Canadian singer Lavigne has attacked her fans in the past for copying her signature style of wearing ties over tank tops. In one interview she ranted, "I sometimes see girls who are dressed like me and made-up like me. Get a life, you know?" But "So Yesterday" singer Duff believes Lavigne should show a lot more appreciation for her admirers. She says, "I think some of the things Avril said about her fans were kind of mean-spirited. She said that she was p***ed off at her fans for copying her style. I was like, 'You should be happy that these people like you and look up to you!'"
