Lohan Slams Anorexia Reports
7 March 2005
Singer and actress Lindsay Lohan has hit out at reports she's anorexic, insisting her appetite is far more healthy than most of her contemporaries. The star's recent weight loss has been the focus of much tabloid speculation, but Lohan insists her changing figure is the result of hormonal changes as she grows up and becomes a woman. She complains, "Even the doctor (I saw) today – he was like, 'Are you anorexic? Are you making yourself throw up? Are drugs involved?' And I was like, 'Are you saying this because you've read it in magazines? Because I don't!' People lose weight when they grow up; they lose their baby fat. But you know, I'm around girls, even in the movies, that are like, 'I don't feel good, I just ate a lot, I'm going to throw up.' Like at the Vanity Fair photo shoot (for the cover of the July 2003 issue) of all the young stars (including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Mandy Moore and Hilary Duff, among others) no one ate. I was going straight to the pasta, and the other girls were eating salad. And I'm the one people say (has an eating disorder)."
Kid Rock "Never Booked" at Bush Inaugural Concert
13 January 2005
Organizers of President George W. Bush's inauguration are confused by reports Kid Rock has been ousted from the list of performers - because he was "never booked" in the first place. Kid Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, was recently the target of outrage from several conservative groups when it was reported the star might be included in the president's festivities. The Campaign For Children And Families sent out emails to 2.5 million supporters decrying the appearance. But organizers insist the rocker was never set to join Jojo and Hilary Duff as a performer at the January 18 youth concert, which will be hosted by Bush's twin daughters Barbara and Jenna. Tracey Schmitt, spokeswoman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee, says, "He was never booked... I don't know where this came from." Bush, who was supported by Rock during his heated election race against Senator John Kerry, will be inaugurated on January 20.

14 December 2004
Teen star Lindsay Lohan has asked for one Christmas gift - that the press leave her alone for the festive season. The Mean Girls actress has been constant tabloid fodder this year, with her love life, a rift with fellow starlet Hilary Duff, her party girl lifestyle and her parents divorce making her the subject of close media focus. But the 18-year-old is desperate for a stress and press-free Christmas. She begs, "If I could have one thing for the holidays, it would be for no tabloids to write anything about me."
Duff Slams Lohan Song Rumors
30 November 2004
Teen singer and actress Hilary Duff has rubbished reports she's hit out at Lindsay Lohan in a song on her latest album. It was widely reported that the Lizzie McGuire blonde, 17, had been enemies with the 18-year-old Mean Girls star since they discovered they were dating pop heart-throb Aaron Carter at the same time last year. But she insists she's indifferent towards Lohan because they don't know each other, and she's adamant her song, "Haters," from her eponymous second album, is not an act of revenge towards the Mean Girls actress, despite verses like, "You say your boyfriend's sweet and kind/ But you've still got your eyes on mine." She explains, "They're just rumors. I would never write a song about her. I don't know her. This whole thing is like so blown out of proportion. I honestly don't know her. Of course I've met her before, but I don't know her and I'm kind of done with it."
